‌ping g400 this is the standard driver and again ‌become the most forgiving driver for Rob to test we've posted an Instagram post yesterday and the Cobra f/8 and this driver were far beyond a lot of people that want Rob to test exceed tested most of the other stuff that's already been out this year if you're not familiar with robberies at 1,300 capper average golfer and I've been working to do some videos with me for a few years now he's great giving really good insights the golf clubs as well so g400 what do you think think about the looks of this driver gorgeous yeah really really big big fun I love the look of it it alright people might say a little bit dull and boring it's all lighting can i black and a bit of a shiny black and stuff but i really like it i there's something about it that it's a salary you always gonna watch the quiet ones and this is kind of like watch the quiet ball I'm hoping it's gonna perform as I'm you know as I'm wishing it's gonna perform this is just a standard g400 there is the LS Tech and the SF Tech and we've just got this in the standard stiff flex it's kind of the tour shaft or the standard stiff shaft that robbers tested pin clubs in with before on the top we've obviously got turbulator dragonfly technology enhancements on the head it's only a 440 has small right okay reasons being they feel like they're not going to lose a great little forgiveness and hopefully their intentions are trying to increase combat speed mmm all right Rob Norma hits it about 2 to 5 to 200 220 carry running out to about 250 so we're gonna 10 shots probably ones GC quad when they've come back after the 10 shots have been hit and then see what the results are quick question before you hit it is it a club that you want to smash yeah okay yeah it's Rob's approval unlocks scheme it 10 shots then look at the performance to give it some ratings on those 10 shots so all 10 shots have been done with Rob gives your initial thoughts on the time shot she just hit really nice all right there's a couple of squishy ones but although her heart it was a pretty good pretty good test that but even what you classify is just squishy Russians are description they weren't that bad a shot I think I won that would have definitely missed the fairway and put me in the bottom do well on that I could live with any other ones when feels very far off when we look at the numbers here I've pulled up the Coburn numbers as well next to its give you some kind of comparison because we've just tested the cob SAT if some reason I've called g400 ions but obviously is the driver and we see a big difference we see six yards of extra carry distance to staff strife the block with the same ball speed and the same launch angle the spin rate has come down near to 500 rpm with the G 400 so closer to 2,000 total distance is 12 yards further so you're not only blending lower spin more carry distance longer total distance there was a big thing to see here is actually the top right screen ridiculously straighter yeah like you hit those unbelievably straighter than you did with the Cobra yeah there was no fade biased on them at all I think there's one bad shot in turn distance wise it was 209 carry and that was the the one really poor when I said we should drop down the averages to her so what do you think about the they kind of feel and then obviously the performance as well there is feel off this and I knew I did it it wasn't you know it wasn't uber feel certainly not like that and I wouldn't expect it to be but I still know would hit it I still only when I hit it good and I also knew when I hit it bad but not because no so I felt bad swing and there wasn't much of a bad swings that put on them but a new word hit it on the face and that's key for me I want to know where I've hit it on the face forgiveness ain't I it wants to me considering that's a 440 CC had consistent seemed really consisting really good for you well you have interesting that for 40 CC head which out of thought it might have been a quicker club it's been a smaller head but it's not been that much different okay so having a quick look at you a little bit too easy the actual both the drivers are about ninety one point five that there actually wasn't yeah it's not like the G 400 actually made the swing speed faster right they're almost identical so that I've seen a little bit of common common grounds around that don't see huge jumps of club head speed with a smaller head so for me it's not made that big a difference I thought that that's great yeah looks wise on top what do you think about look so I wasn't actually mentioned the bottom before what yeah when hits me how does that look at address you know we've commented on the drivers that you this is how the turbulent is in the Dragonfly technology and we commented I took the Mickey about it and doing a very dodgy and all swatch local voice about turbulence but to be foot I've got usually over the time and actually quite like it what I like is the fact of each bringing you into where the middle of the face is correct and that's what I actually really do like about it and it makes you think that well for Lionel you know where you know like you don't have to really have to have that line you know you get the ball in the middle of that on you settle you know you got the middle of clubface so I really like that I honestly truthfully really like that it guides you yeah it's all agree very much so yeah it's coming jump on it gives you gives you ratings on performance out of 10 give us your rating on performance arts distance forgiveness the numbers that we see behind us now right so there's from performance with the golf club you know it's it's it's higher I'd go up towards you know eight towards and nine I know I was stuck in this bit door like I don't like doing this bit because of that I'm gonna give it but overall a nine actually because is it consistently quite well it felt good off the face it did gossip yeah and it was a smaller headed driver which I wouldn't normally go and get is a smiley driver so it's outperformed everything I thought it would have outperformed or outperformed itself better than I thought yeah don't think it's your longest you've ever have no by any stretch bought the numbers that it was giving you was pretty consistent yeah there's a relatively accurate so I think nines a fair for performance on feel on field that sound yeah feeling Samuel eight beats you know we've seen before I'm before before they take is if we had the the head hitting that the turf and is probably you could hear there's like a team doing mentally Titanic II kind of Titanic titanium kind of a thing yet who's gonna go down well but you know it's I really like that so I'm gonna give that a nine as well yeah I do I do like it I really do like it I think it's I think they've pulled a rabbit out of the Hat here with this one well honestly they've kind of each year they've been building on it and building and building on they've not changed the goalposts that much they just keep extending this this idea of this driver yeah I think that's a relatively fair summary I think nine I'm performance is pretty good it's not your longest I think if that was another five yards long and that would easily been a 10-q a mega accurate with it yeah on sound and feel obvious it damp down to you but you seem to be liking it when you have no grumbles about it so even lot bad hits I mean we're in the studio here I think if this was outside in the outside world you know you'd hit it you'd hear that noise got that the typical sound that ping clubs have always always had and that that's the one thing that I think this is a give I think it's almost a tiny bit more muted than the older versions but you're dead right you didn't know you've hit it I said 18 out of 20 on the performance on the locks on the field it's it's got Rob's approval
